After retiring from competitive figure skating, Barb knew she wanted to teach. She enjoyed many years of teaching competitive figure skaters from the Basic Skills to National level.  Barb loves teaching all levels but has to admit that the 3 to 6-year-olds are her favorite – Snowplow Sam classes are a blast!

Barb has a Gold Medal in Figures & Freestyle & Pre Gold in Ice Dancing. She is SkateSafe certified and background-screened by US Figure Skating. Barb is a Category A US Figure Skating Coach and a member of USFS, PSA, ISCI, Learn to Skate & USA Hockey. She competed at the Regional to National level for 18 years, reaching Senior level when she was 16. She coached an IYHA Mini Mite house hockey team that won the league!

JJ loves working with all ages and levels in both hockey and figure skating. Private lessons and semi-private lessons are available. First-time skaters welcome! JJ has over 20 years of coaching experience. She is a SafeSport certified, background-screened by US Figure Skating & USA Hockey, Category A US Figure Skating Coach with the Professional Skaters Association (PSA; Registered Free Skate [RFS] rating). JJ is also a United Skates Figure Skating (USFS), Learn to Skate & USA Hockey member. JJ was a Qualified Sectional and Regional competitor in singles. She was also a Member of the Miami University Senior Varsity Synchronized Skating Team that competed internationally and earned a Silver medal at US Nationals.

Beth has private lesson experience but only teaches skaters at basic/freestyle levels with no competitions involved. Beth has extensive experience working with special needs individuals and has taught figure skating for the Special Olympics.

Trevor has traveled to many US cities for skating camps as a presenter, and has also partnered in Dance tests. Above all, he puts all students' best interests first. Trevor has had several students reach National competition level & has been teaching for over 40 years. He teaches all levels of skating from beginner to Gold in Freestyle, Moves, International Dance and Free Dance, and competitive Synchro in ISU & USFS. Trevor is SkateSafe certified & background-screened by US Figure Skating, He is a Master-rated coach with the PSA, Coaching examiner for PSA, National Dance coach, & Power Skating coach. He was also a World team member.

Patty has been helping skaters of all ages reach their goals in singles and ice dance since 1987. She has PSA ratings in group, dance and moves in the field. Her students have competed at Junior Nationals, and medaled at Adult Nationals and National Solo Dance Championships. A journalist and author, she produced two skating books: Figure Skating – Sharpen Your Skills, and The Joy of Coaching – Celebrating 75 Years of the Professional Skaters Association. She performed in Disney on Ice shows in the United States, Asia and Australia. She coaches the Circle City Theatre on Ice team.

Christie is a USFS gold medalist in Freeskate and Moves in the Field. She has also passed the pre-gold ice dance test. Christie has been a competitive skater for 15 years and a Learn to Skate instructor for 6 years. In private lessons, she focuses on freeskating and choreography. Christie also is a music editor. She trained with Olympians Ron Ludington and Scott Gregory at the University of Delaware (UD). She was a starter on the junior-level UD intercollegiate figure skating team, which won three National championships. In Indianapolis, she’s a skater and assistant choreographer for the Circle City Theatre on Ice adult team.

Megan has worked with all ages and skill levels. With 20+ years as a competitive figure skater in all disciplines, including intercollegiate competitions and synchronized skating, Megan also has 10+ years of experience coaching Learn to Skate, Learn to Play/hockey, and 5+ years with private lessons, focusing on basic skills, freestyle, footwork, and ice dance.  She is a USFS gold medalist in Moves in the Field, Ice Dance (including Internationals), and Solo Free Dance. Megan has also passed her Juvenile Freestyle Test. 

Megan graduated from The Ohio State University, where she was a member of their intercollegiate figure skating team. She now works as a pharmacist at Eli Lilly. 

Sara Miller - mill1775@miamioh.edu

Sara has been coaching group and private lessons collectively for 7+ years. She holds her gold medals in Skating Skills (Moves in the Field) and Solo Free Dance, her silver in Singles (Freestyle), and is working towards her gold in Pattern Dance. She is a member of USFS, PSA, is PSA accredited, and SafeSport certified. Competing at the local, regional, and national level over the span of 11 years, she has skated on behalf of her home club in regionals (2x) and the Excel National Festival. 

Sara attended college at Miami University to compete on behalf of their intercollegiate team, representing the school twice and medaling at Intercollegiate Nationals. After graduating in 2023, she is now continuing her education at the Ascension St. Vincent College of Health Professions in Indianapolis, studying ultrasound. 

She has experience in ballet, off-ice jump technique, off-ice conditioning, and specializes in Singles, Skating Skills, and local competitions.

Andrea is a U.S. and Canadian Dance Gold Medalist and qualifying competitor with experience in dance, freestyle, figures, and pairs. Andrea was a U.S. Figure Skating judge before starting to coach full-time in 1989. She is a master-rated dance professional through the Professional Skaters Association and holds additional ratings in free skating, moves in the field, and group instruction. Specialty areas include dance, choreography, moves in the field, and skater management. Andrea is a proud graduate of Butler University and continues to work professionally in the hi-tech field in addition to skating.

Natalie was previously an Assistant Coach for the Fort Collins Fire Crystals Figure Skating Team and has coached figure skating at Northern Colorado Ice Center. She provided training and encouragement to prepare athletes for local and sectional synchronized skating competitions, scheduled, planned, and conducted practice sessions, choreographed competitive programs each year, and identified areas of strength and growth for teams of 9 to18 synchronized skaters. Natalie helped lead the pre-juvenile team to two Pacific Coast Sectional medals. She quickly adapted to COVID-safe in-person and online practices.
 
Natalie has experience in organizing weekly figure skating lessons for children and has instructed over 100 students in figure skating basics. She is compliant with all USFS coach requirements. Natalie is a Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field and a former member of Western Michigan University Collegiate Synchronized Skating Team, competing at the National level from 2014-2017. She is a 20-time medalist at National Showcase (2004-2021) and has competed in multiple local, Regional, Sectional and National competitions in freeskate, ice dance, theatrical and synchronized skating over a period of 18 years (2003-Present)
