Coach Gwidt's Bio

Brent, who grew up playing hockey in Northern Wisconsin at the age of 4, prides himself on not only teaching and developing players through skills, skating techniques, and hockey IQ, but most importantly, getting the athletes to know that hard work, competitiveness, and good hockey habits are what ultimately drive a player to become their best. Coach Gwidt brings his years of experience and love of the game to his skills/skating training, and game-like drills.  Brent has been working with youth hockey players since 2015, and focuses on teaching a solid foundation of hockey basics while bringing the newest training methods and models to elevate his athletes skills!

Brent spent his youth career working hard to be a standout within travel hockey, which resulted in him being drafted by the Indiana Ice (USHL) in 2006. Brent went on to play 3 seasons for the Ice, winning a Clark Cup in his final season (2009). Brent then went on to play NCAA-D1 for the University of Nebraska-Omaha. After 4 years at UNO, Brent went on to play 3 seasons of minor-pro hockey with the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL). Brent has had the privilege of being named captain on all high level teams he has played for, which is a testament to his strong leadership skills. Brent has also been lucky enough to play for and learn from elite hockey coaches such as Jeff Blashill, Dean Blais, and Mike Hastings.  

Brent currently serves as the Director of Player Development for the IYHA Jr. Fuel, and coaches a 10U Prospects team with Indiana Elite He has also coached AAA for 3 seasons with the Jr. Fuel.

Brent lives in Fishers with his wife Amanda, and his two sons (Ryder and Oliver), and Milly, a golden retriever.

Coach Doyon's Bio

Drew grew up playing hockey in the Indy area and has been coaching and developing players since he got done playing in 2020. He played youth hockey for the Indianapolis Racers and the Indiana Jr. Ice. After playing for the U16 and U18 Jr. Ice, Drew was able to earn himself three years in the NAHL, playing for both Aberdeen Wings and Johnstown Tomahawks. After junior hockey Drew played for Aurora University (NCAA D3). While playing for four years with Aurora, Drew was the captain for his final three years. After Drew’s senior year he finished playing with Peoria Rivermen in the SPHL. 

Drew is currently coaching the U14 AAA Jr. Fuel team. Being from Indianapolis, Drew wants to help develop local hockey players to their highest ability. Drew cares about helping develop young hockey players and helping them grow on and off the ice. Young players need to build and develop good habits on the ice to help them to develop their game and earn a spot at the next level.
